“Someone’s waiting for you”,
The truck before me read;
Reading, my speed got low;
And Lo! the signal went red.
As stopped everyone,
so started a beggar;
Blind, poor, helpless;
A child on his shoulder.
Everyone denied;
No one had a penny;
Who was the beggar?
In his bowl, he had many!
My hands went into pocket,
and I got one;
So am nor a beggar neither a miser;
unlike there everyone.
Hurry up!
It’s getting green;
I gave him a coin,
he gave me a grin.
Talking to myself,
before sleeping at night,
The question that comes,
“Why they all denied?”
That child’s innocent face;
A sorrow in his smile;
Becoming his dad’s eye;
When his eyes dream of toys.
It was just a penny,
the father and son wanted;
For their bread and butter,
which would buy us a chocolate.
So always keep the change;
A life the change can change;
Our small sacrifice to someone,
can make a difference!
